Richard L. Sanderson, Jr. became of counsel to the firm in 1996. Dick has been involved with ERISA since it was enacted in 1974. Dick had primary responsibility for ERISA and other employee compensation and benefit matters at three Fortune 500 companies (and was the advisor to Board Committees with fiduciary and executive compensation responsibilities), and has dealt with the ERISA aspects of many types of corporate transactions, including leveraged buyouts, tender offers, ESOPs and joint ventures.
